Second Place on Home Soil for Jonny Walker at Superenduro Round Six

Triumph Factory Racing Enduro Team’s Jonny Walker has claimed his third consecutive runner-up overall finish at round six of the 2025 FIM SuperEnduro World Championship in the United Kingdom.  With solid 4-2-2 race results in front of a sold-out Utilita Arena in Newcastle, Jonny maintains second in the championship standings ahead of next week’s final round.

Kicking off the action in Newcastle by posting the third-fastest time in SuperPole, Walker carried his strong form into race one. The Brit got off to a great start, quickly moving into third after the opening corners. However, a small mistake in the matrix section dropped him to fourth, leaving him with work to do. Undeterred, Jonny pushed hard and almost closed the gap to third, ultimately finishing just four seconds shy of a podium finish.

Fired up for the reverse-grid race two, Jonny tactfully made his way into second place by the first corner despite starting from the back row. Taking the lead almost immediately after, the TF 250 racer set about opening up a gap to his competition for the first half of the race. A crash midway through cost Jonny valuable time and allowed rival Billy Bolt to pass. Keeping the pressure on until the finish line, Walker secured a commendable runner-up result.

Eager to end his home round on a high, Walker stormed the start of race three to secure the holeshot and open up an early advantage. What ensued was an intense four-way battle for the lead for the majority of the race that left no room for error, much to the enjoyment of the passionate British fans. Jonny kept his cool and expertly navigated the technical course to bring his Triumph Factory Racing Enduro Team machine home in second place.

Thanks to his impressive results, Jonny claimed a third consecutive runner-up finish overall, strengthening his position in second in the championship and extending his advantage over third place to 27 points with one round left to contest.

The 2025 FIM SuperEnduro World Championship reaches its conclusion in one week’s time on 8th March in Lievin, France.

“I’ve come away with P2 tonight, which I’m really happy with, especially after a tough race one, finishing fourth. I struggled a little with the track tonight as it was quite difficult and everyone was on fire! I’m feeling great though after strong results in the second and third races, and I’ve extended my gap to third in the championship. I’m looking forward to the final round in France next week!”
